From Exercise 1, you now know how to use the photocopier to work iteratively and graphically based on existing materials. Now it is time to make something new from scratch.

Using only 1 black sharpie marker and the photocopier, produce one 8.5 x 11-inch vase-face self-portrait.

Your vase-face should be *equally* a vase and also a face. The face should resemble you. You should make multiple versions of this to get to the final product. Each time, you can evaluate what you have done to see if it meets the criteria of vase and face. The goal is to produce a final graphic that flickers back and forth between the two states.

Bring exactly one finished graphic to class and we will review. We may even identify one that is more successful than this canonical example:
